About Sparrow Kids

What We believe

Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Jesus. Serving the Church.

At Sparrow Kids, our work begins with the Bible and our desire to help children encounter Jesus, know His love, and grow in faith.

Our statement of faith expresses the biblical convictions that guide our storytelling, teaching, and partnerships. We believe every child is made in God’s image and should have the opportunity to hear His story in a language they understand.

We serve families, churches, and ministries across Christian traditions. While those traditions have meaningful differences, we seek to work together around our shared faith in Jesus Christ, respecting the role of parents and local churches in nurturing children’s faith.

Through thoughtful stories grounded in Scripture, we want to help children begin a lifelong journey of following Jesus.

OuR statement of faith

One God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is perfect in love, holiness, and truth. He exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Biblical foundation: Deuteronomy 6:4; Revelation 4:11; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived without sin and died for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and intercedes for us. Through Him, we are reconciled to God.

Biblical foundation: John 1:1–14; Luke 1:30–35; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 7:25; 2 Corinthians 5:18–21.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts people of sin, draws them to Christ, and indwells and fills believers. He guides, teaches, and empowers us to follow Jesus, grow in holiness, and serve others with the gifts He gives.

Biblical foundation: Acts 5:3–4; John 14:16–17; John 16:8–14; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11.

The Bible

We believe the Old and New Testaments are God’s inspired Word, without error as originally given, and our final and sole authority for faith and practice. Through Scripture, God reveals His truth, makes known the way of salvation, and equips us to live faithfully.

Biblical foundation: 2 Timothy 3:14–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; John 17:17.

Humanity’s Need

We believe every person is created in God’s image and has inherent dignity and worth. Through humanity’s fall into sin, we are born with a sinful nature and separated from God. We all need the forgiveness and new life that come through Jesus Christ.

Biblical foundation: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23–24; Romans 5:12–19; Ephesians 2:1–5.

Salvation Through Jesus

We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot earn it through our own efforts. Through Jesus, we are forgiven, made right with God, born again by the Holy Spirit, and welcomed into God’s family with the promise of eternal life.

Biblical foundation: Ephesians 2:8–9; Acts 20:21; Romans 3:23–26; Titus 3:4–7; John 1:12–13.

Growing in Holiness

We believe God calls believers to surrender fully to Him and grow in holiness. After we begin following Jesus, the Holy Spirit continues His transforming work through decisive surrender and ongoing growth. He helps us turn from sin, become more like Christ, and live lives marked by love and faithful service.

Biblical foundation: Romans 6:11–14; Romans 12:1–2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23–24; Galatians 5:22–25.

God’s Healing

We believe Christ’s redeeming work provides healing for the whole person. We pray for those who are sick and practice anointing with oil as Scripture teaches, bringing our needs to God with faith in His power and trust in His wisdom and love.

Biblical foundation: Isaiah 53:4–5; Matthew 8:16–17; James 5:14–16.

The Church and Its Mission

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of those who trust in Jesus and are made new by the Holy Spirit. Jesus is its head. He calls His people to worship together, learn from Scripture, pray, love one another, practice baptism and Communion, and make disciples among all peoples.

Biblical foundation: 1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Colossians 1:18; Acts 2:41–47; John 13:34–35; Matthew 28:18–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.

Resurrection and Judgment

We believe all people will be raised from the dead and stand before Jesus Christ, who will judge with perfect justice. Those who trust in Him will enjoy eternal life with God. Those who remain unrepentant and reject Him will face eternal separation from God.

Biblical foundation: John 5:28–29; Acts 17:30–31; Matthew 25:31–46; 2 Thessalonians 1:8–10.

Jesus Will Return

We believe Jesus will return personally and visibly in glory. His return is our hope and encourages us to live faithfully, love others, and share His good news.

Biblical foundation: Acts 1:9–11; Matthew 24:30; Titus 2:11–14; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18.

Children and Faith

We believe every child is made in God’s image, deeply loved by Him, and precious in His sight. Jesus welcomed children and called His followers to welcome them, saying that the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Children can know Jesus, respond to His love, and grow in faith. We are committed to helping families and churches share Scripture faithfully and meaningfully, so children everywhere have the opportunity to hear God’s story in a language they understand.

Biblical foundation: Genesis 1:27; Mark 10:13–16; Mark 9:37; Deuteronomy 6:6–7; 2 Timothy 3:14–15.
